After rewatching the entirety of BFDI, there are still some characters left that I wasn't able to type with certainty due to having little screentime (and I didn't even try to type joke characters). I guess I can only wait for new content then. In the meantime, I want to share some of my thoughts and observations.
Fun fact, despite it being a show about competition and teamwork, somehow it gathered the entirety of Alpha quadra. I guess they are there to add to the show's absurd humor. Still, this is no surprise, as Cary Huang, one of the creators of BFDI, is probably LII himself (don't quote me on that though). The entire 'vibe' and humor of the show gives me Alpha quadra, so I'd definitely recommend it to anyone of these four types. Despite drawing inspiration from Total Drama, BFDI has none of its Gamma-esque intrigues and people constantly plotting to ruin each other's reputation. It does have some drama though (in later seasons especially), but it's still pretty lighthearted and doesn't take itself seriously.
Now to some of the patterns I noticed. Among all of the characters there are none with 4th Physics in Psychosophy, which makes sense as they wouldn't be competing for luxury in the first place. Also, I guess the atmosphere of the show is too lively for the chronic melancholy of 4F and such a character would stand out too much.
Speaking of standing out, there are so many characters of Attachment types that any non-Attachment looks like a total nutjob and a parody of their type. To be fair, the same can be said for some of the Attachments as well, but this is especially prevalent in Hexad type characters. Take Puffball for example, a 7 who got so used to receiving prizes for being the most liked contestant that she purposefully made her team lose, just so she could get another prize. Or Fanny, a 4 who absolutely hates everything and everyone. Hell, even the villain of TPOT is your classic So2 baddie.
I find it positively hilarious how almost none of the characters are typed correctly in Enneagram on PDB. To be fair, there doesn't seem to be much discussion or voting going on, but they didn't even manage to guess! Initially I wanted to go over some of their most preposterous typings, but that would at least triple the length of this post. Not sure if I'm going to write a separate post to discuss this, but for now I'll be wrapping up.
This is definitely not my last post about BFDI as I still have some interesting topics to discuss other than PDB's awful typings. So yeah, buy now!.. I mean, bye now.
